Mini musicians is a multi-sensory music program for kids aged 3-6 years. The program incorporates piano playing and will provide great preparation for more traditional piano lessons. It is also beneficial for children who will go on to study singing or any other instrument, as they will be exploring pitch, pattern and rhythm.

Whatsapp Recitals
Whatsapp recital is our novel approach to make performing a routine activity. These recitals happen every month where students perform and video record a recently learnt piece and share them on the whatsapp group that includes their peers and parents. Though this idea was implemented long ago, the COVID-19 pandemic, made public performances impossible and such innovative methods prove vital in keeping the students motivated. Parents and students alike, have found this to be a fruitful method to encourage practicing the piano.
Music Quiz
How do you expose students to some music history? Well, music quizzes are our answer. Throw in some prizes and you can see how motivated a student becomes to learn music history. Our music quizzes cover topics on composer’s life, their compositions, analysing their work and also performing a short piece by the composer on the spot!
Music Appreciation
Music Appreciation classes teach students what to listen for and how to appreciate what they hear. Students learn to understand music from madrigals of medieval times to symphonies, arias and sonatas, to today’s rock and pop music. Discussions include information about the composer, the instruments and the different styles of music from an era.
Public Recitals
Performing for an audience can help kids and adults fight stage fear and gain confidence. Piano Lab provides opportunity to perform in a friendly environment through its annual public recitals and peer concerts. Playing in recitals makes students feel accomplished and gives them a chance to showcase their talent to their friends and family.
Music Games
We gamify learning music! Traditional methods of teaching may not be suitable for every student. Through years of experience and research, we have devised several modern methods in our teaching to inspire our students and keep them hooked to their instrument. Music games are an integral part of learning at the Piano Lab. They ensure that students grasp music concepts quickly and with ease.
